In commemoration of Menstrual Hygiene Day, the Lands Commission Ladies Association (LACOLAS) extended their support to the Akropong School for the Blind by donating a variety of essential items. The donation included sanitary pads, detergents, mops, buckets, brooms, gari, sugar, and other necessities.
Surv. Dr. Mrs. Theodora Mends, the president of LACOLAS, presented the items on behalf of the association. She expressed their pleasure in being able to assist the students, particularly the young women, at the school.
In a heartfelt response, one of the students expressed gratitude for the generous contribution and urged other individuals and organizations to emulate this benevolent act.
The event was graced by the presence of the Acting Greater Accra Regional Lands Officer, Surv. Timothy Anyidoho Esq., members from the Eastern Regional Lands Commission, and LACOLAS executives.
