As part of efforts to ensure stakeholders of the Lands Commission are well informed about the mandate and business processes of the Lands Commission, the Commission conducted a comprehensive sensitization training for individuals and members of the Abossey Okai Spare Parts Dealers Association.
Held over two days on July 10th and 11th, 2024, the training aimed to enhance the competence of the spare parts dealers, safeguard their land transactions, and promote adherence to legal procedures.
The Public Affairs team led by Surv. Timothy Anyidoho Esq. (Acting RLO, Greater Accra Region), covered topics such as essential considerations before land acquisition, verifying land ownership, assessing legal status, conducting background checks, and educating participants on the Land Act (Act 1036).
The sensitization also provided opportunities for individuals to approach Lands Commission officials for one-on-one inquiries and seek clarification on other land-related issues, which were satisfactorily answered by the team.
With the aid of the information center, the team could reach about 20,000 members.
